Totally funny… man it brings me back to my teen years… i remember, when I found out that Gwen stefani was hooked up with Gavin Rosedale from BUSh, I was like “what a byatch for taking my chances away”, but it’s not like the chance ever existed… :( However Bangolina took her place, but then I realized that it wasn’t really Angolina I was jealous of, it was the cute little adopted kids that Brad so loves and cherishes…LOLOLOLOL…Anywayz, cool BLAH, because Blah is what I do.

I can’t believe all the “LOLOLHAHAHAHAHAHAZOMG! THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF HUMOR!!” comments.

This is a horrible concept/cartoon, how old are these girls, 5? And they’re smoking weed?

Tween girls are wearing boot cut jeans, flip-flops, an all over print t-shirt, while texting their brains out. These look like some weird alien babies in matching dresses.

I can’t imagine that young girls would relate with this in any way, shape, or form. It just seems like a bunch of guys are sitting around trying to think of how girls “act”.

Don’t be surprised when they start talking about their periods and farting on each other, you know, stuff “real girls” do.

This is so racist! I mean, look at those lips! Not every white girl has skinny little lips, it’s just so demeaning! Why would Ashton perpetuate the stereotype of the “thin-lipped white woman”, especially since his hott has a full ripe set?

  • 57. Professor - Sep 10, 2008 2:10 pm

    Hi Nuts,

Sue Todd? I would have to get in line, he’s already been in several legal battles for his theft and lack of originality.

He’s well hated by the art community, and proven to be an *ahem* unorginial, unfunny, and uninteresting “artist”… and guess what?

Ashton is in bed with him, paying this idiot to make a show for him.

So I doubt any of this was done for fun, or for people who wanted a mediocre alternative to more interesting Celeb sites.

It’s more than likely he’s not even involved whatsoever besides being the face man for a bad idea (do yourself a favor and google “Ooma”) he’s trying to turn a buck because god knows he’s not gonna make much more with his movie career.

    Dear Professor,

Which school was naive enough to give you a degree let alone allow you to teach others (if indeed you are a so-called Professor)?

Obviously this cartoon is not aiming at individuals such as yourself who take life way too seriously and find it necessary to bash the work of others.

As Salvador Dali put it, “Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing.” Is this not true with most anything in life- Professor?

Who knows, maybe you teach Demography- in which case- consider the demographic…

And P.S. 1) Sounds like you’ve got more of an issue with Todd, which if I may add, he seems to be reaping the benefits regardless of any immature law suits. 2) Do you honestly believe yourself when you assume Ashton is not making much with his movie career— what world do you live in? 3)I think this cartoon is quite cute- if you don’t then why the **** do you keep coming back to the site?

    Get a life Professor!

    Rock on little Blah Girls!

  • 66. seriously - Sep 10, 2008 11:06 pm

If you want to speak of demographics… when people say this is garbage the retort is “you’re too old” or “it’s for the kids” and then parents come on posting how their kid loves it… I’m struck by the idea that parents are letting their kids watch pot smoking girls get called whores in church while tossing prejudice at a couple of races. This site and especially the comments are a good indicator of the problems facing our society with the generation-ignorant that is our current batch of younglings. Admit that you’re love is because you think Ashton is going to read your post and somehow arrive at your house to thank you… or admit that you have three brain cells and two of them are experiencing low blood sugar.

  • 67. Russkie - Sep 10, 2008 11:42 pm

people don’t use their so-called common sense. this site is for teens and the fact that one of the teens imagining being adopted by a bad father who lets her smoke pot it doesn’t mean that this site encourages drugs. moreover, this site is not educational if you want to learn something attend school and then you might learn the basics of criticizing others’ works

some of the comments think they are cool, funny and smart. ok we got it, you are doing better than ashton and having a better and more popular life than him. go back to your perfect life and leave the sinners enjoying their little fun place

i’m not expecting ashton to knock my door to thank me for this post. he and i don’t need this kind of approach. i know him very well and appreciate him everyday. i don’t expect ashton to have plenty of free time to read all the comments. he has his people for the job. if it happens he comes oneday and read your miserable comments he will LOL @ you as we are all lol’ing

seriously, are these girls gonna age, like next year are they gonna be one year older? just a silly Q

i’m 13 from russia i watched it with mom and she enjoyed it more than me

ashton, if you want to thank me or maybe kiss me you know where i live. it’s a couple miles far from where you live

  • 68. mommy - Sep 11, 2008 12:11 am

some parents are young at heart and they DO enjoy what they kids enjoy. i’m a mother of 2 and i just love this site. if my kids are gonna smoke pot, as an open-mided parent i know it’s not because of this site. people shouldn’t take it seriously. it’s one of the sites that characterizes itself by being light, fresh and different. it’s like watching an entertainment tv show on the web and you can comment at the same time

    keep em coming ash

  • 69. The Professor - Sep 11, 2008 12:18 am

Yes, this is just a cartoon. A very poorly thought out unoriginal cartoon.

If you watch Ashton’s presentation at TechCrunch, the mook think he’s Steve Jobs and he’s dressed like a Christian Youth Pastor spewing out corporate buzzwords talking about how this is site/cartoon is so new, fresh, and cutting edge.

Apparently he’s never been to homestarrunner.com, or any other interactive/animation site that has creative, funny, age appropriate humor….. and that site is at least 6-7 years old. (So much for new and fresh)

This abomination of a cartoon contains drug use, foul language, sexual innuendos, and racism. Apparently you are too feeble to grasp the concept of demographics if you think all of the forementioned are suitable for little teenage girls to watch.

Do you think Nickelodeon would play a cartoon for tweens that showed one of main characters hammered from a bong rip? Hell no.

It’s bad enough that there are more than enough skeezy female pseudo celebrities forced down your throat by the media like Paris & Nicole, we don’t need any more in cartoon form.

When Dali said that, I doubt he was talking about internet based flash animation. There’s no harm in imitating, especially when it’s done as a loving tribute. But this is no innocent imitation, this is just plagiarism, this looks like south park’s retarded cousin and it has 3rd rate pseudo Family Guy humor.

Immature lawsuits? Yeah, I guess suing some no-talent hack who gets money from his daddy who has stolen your intellectual property only to make money off of it is immature. :(

As for Ashton’s film career (or lack there of it), lets not forget about such gems as “Just Married”, “Open Season”, “Guess Who”, “What Happens in Vegas”, etc. All of those films combined were in theaters for about 2 weeks. The only reason he hasn’t slipped into obscurity is because he’s dating Demi Moore… remember when he was dating Brittany Murphy? Yeah, no one cared.

This is the last thing teenage girls (or boys) should be watching or emulate. This isn’t cute, it’s not new, it’s not funny, and it’s especially not for children.

  • 70. Trio - Sep 11, 2008 1:08 am

It is fair to have negative comments because every successful project has its lovers as well as its haters. I bet people who work on this site know this beforehand. But luckily for successful people they are strong enough and don’t take these negative comments to them at heart. If someone throws rocks at you that means you are ahead of them unless of course they throw it in front of you and that means battle of competitors. All of the comments aren’t competitors to Ashton. He is a famous actor, creator and producer of many successful projects. If he isn’t this tough and aren’t able to separate the internet from real life he wouldn’t make projects and stop acting by now because the internet is full of loser who like to act violent towards themselves or others. If you have a different and opposite point of view it’s likely fair to state what you don’t like instead of saying it’s just suck because I’m jealous of Ashton. It’s rather of putting someone down try to help other develop their ideas!

Some of the movies that mentioned above were # 1 for 4 weeks! Obviously you have issues with Ashton so get a life kid!

Remeber the worst voice is the loudest so keep barking if you wish. Everyone is laughing @ you not with you.

  • 73. Sasha - Sep 11, 2008 3:42 am

    Goofessor,

You say his movies spent two weeks in the box office, and I say check your information before you say anything. Most of his movies ranked number one and obviously stayed in the box office for more than two weeks as you unfairly claimed.

It is always you and the likes of you who envy the success of someone trying to do something good. I doubt a successful person like Ashton would care if you call his cartoon unoriginal.

Based on your theory of unoriginality, Oprah’s show isn’t ‘original’, yet it is the most popular amongst other talk shows. Gray Anatomy isn’t a unique show (General Hospital, ER, etc); yet, no one called it unoriginal. Perhaps, if Ashton joined the cast of Gray Anatomy, you’d call the show unoriginal.

South park, The Simpsons & Family Guy, for instance, contain a good dosage of what you refer to as demographics; and yet you consider the formers humorous.

Since you’ve clearly and extensively stated your opinion, there is no point in you lingering any longer in a blog where you depsise its owner and mock his genuine hard work.

  • 74. gp433 - Sep 11, 2008 5:25 am

Wow. It’s amazing that no matter how hard he tries, Ashton Kutcher’s idea of what’s cool still somehow reflects the mentality of a 13 year old Midwestern girl. Perhaps they should get rid of the age restrictions on responding to the video.

  • 76. Mom in SF - Sep 11, 2008 8:18 am

I know that it is very difficult to start a business; heck, what is it…90% of startups close within 5 years(or something like that). Whether this site stays in business or not will determine its validity. BUT…I agree w/previous post by ‘Professor’: “This abomination of a cartoon contains drug use, foul language, sexual innuendos, and racism. Apparently you are too feeble to grasp the concept of demographics if you think all of the forementioned are suitable for little teenage girls to watch.

Do you think Nickelodeon would play a cartoon for tweens that showed one of main characters hammered from a bong rip? Hell no.”…

It appears that this site’s content seems to be straddling two distinct, and very unique, age groups - tweens & young adults (for general population; not sure about Hollywood/famous kids). That’s a dangerous& fine line to straddle. This could be why the previous posts range from “hey this is great!” to “what the hell are you thinking?”… I think this site needs some “tweaking”. Cheers!

  • 77. norm - Sep 11, 2008 8:40 am

  • 78. Sasha - Sep 11, 2008 9:14 am

We all know that many episodes of South Park has some drug issues; when kids got high off of a cat urine. Eww! In my humble view point, this encourages kids and gives them insights on discovering new ways and paths of getting high rather than using the old fashioned, illegal method. I remember Towelie always wanting to get high. Oh my, how educating this can be!

I can never forget that ‘disgusting’ episode of Family Guy where that character, Peter, was giving a class of Sexual Education; not to forget Superman’s episode.

I was just reviewing this site after seeing it featured at a tech convention in SF yesterday. It’s new and I was just giving some feedback, which is always encouraged by new site designers.

  • 85. Hil - Sep 11, 2008 12:33 pm

    Mr. Professor Boy,

I have a feeling we know each other.

It is now safe to say you highly enjoy the art of assumption…? Perhaps even more, you enjoy arguing. However, no where does this site claim that this cartoon is for young kids, nor did I state that the demographic was aimed at such- you once again assumed.

The cartoon, perhaps, is for those who enjoy a little humor aimed to make fun of your aforementioned “drug use, foul language, sexual innuendos, and racism”- you simply ASSUMED that the cartoon was purely pushing and siding with these things. Maybe you should consider the thought that Ashton, Todd, and the rest of the production team may in fact be making fun of those things. Society, due to other factors, has taken it upon themselves to take things such as the Blah Girls way too seriously.

Basically, you should find another site to display your opinions, because truthfully it sounds like you just dislike the creators and not so much the created.

  • 86. The Professor - Sep 11, 2008 1:24 pm

Hi Hil, you’re mistaken, we don’t know each other.

If so, please send me an e-mail, seeing how we apparently know each other it shouldn’t be difficult for you to contact me.

You’re half right with your last line though.

I do dislike the creators… as well as the created.

Why should I go to another site to display my feelings towards this cartoon? This comments section wasn’t soley created for biased praise and worship comments.

Granted my comments may not sit well with star struck feeble minded fans, or jerk-offs working on this pitiful attempt at a cartoon posing as fans (much like yourself) but if f you’re gonna show something to the public, you can’t expect “lol” or “omg” all the time.

If you read half of the comments, they’re negative or critical as well. Why? Because this is just garbage.

True this site hasn’t made any mention that this is a cartoon for kids, but it’s being peddled to kids.

If this response has irked you in any way, you have the right to ignore it, just like how I have the right to voice my opinion on no talent hackery.

“We all know that many episodes of South Park has some drug issues; when kids got high off of a cat urine. Eww! In my humble view point, this encourages kids and gives them insights on discovering new ways and paths of getting high rather than using the old fashioned, illegal method. I remember Towelie always wanting to get high. Oh my, how educating this can be!”

Yeah, that’s true…. but then again South Park runs at 10 pm and has a mature warning before the show, as well as having the rating displayed throughout the entire episode.

I wonder if this is what the makers of Blah Girls had in mind when they designed it as an “interactive” medium, versus a “passive” one like TV shows & films. Some bloggers here seem pretty mean (for lack of a better word) in their judgements of the site and of each other.

It seems to me that some people still live like the Flintstones in the stone age. Everybody knows South Park episodes are available on the net through official websites for anyone to access without restrictions.

Wow, Einstein; you have calculated the number of negative comments by yourself! That must have taken some effort from you to do that. As the theory of relativity goes, the second half of the comments must be positive then!

ME ENCANTA EL HUMOR DE ASHTON. FELICIDADES. ME PARECERIA MUY BUENO SI HACEN UN SERIADO PARA TV.
ENTIENDO LA PREUCUPACION DE ALGUNOS SOBRE EL CONTENIDO SOBRE DROGA, SEXO Y OTROS TEMAS FUERTES PARA LOS ADOLECENTES, PERO SI CREO QUE SERIA UN BUEN PROGRAMA PARA ADULTOS JOVENES.

I don’t usually check out sites like this because I do agree that teenage girls these days are acting a little to old for their own good, but most of that has to do with the parenting, not what people are putting out there to watch. As a 30 year old chic who watched That 70’s Show from the first episode to the last I was curious about what Ashton was doing with himself these days, so I tuned in. For this day in age this is what teenage girls are talking like and these are the conversations they’re having, whether we like it or not. So really, Ashton…good job! I do think the general teenage girl population will genuinely like this. Parents, screen what your kids want to watch, if you don’t feel it’s appropriate, don’t let them watch it. And don’t give the excuse that you can’t help what they do at friend’s houses either…be responsible and actually know the friends and their parents of whom you’re letting your children hang out with. So kids…enjoy your fun and Ashton…make your money man! I thought it was cute.

  • 122. hindake faltamo - Sep 23, 2008 12:29 pm

this show is really funny but I am from ethiopia and I dont think that last comment was nesscesary about my country and i would apreciate it if you would stop that I mean my country is just fine so why do you have to say stuff about it whaen if I said dont come to america there is to much work and the government is killing the economy and not doing anything abou tglobal warming because they are too freaking lazy to I dont think many people would like that so i hope that does not happen again Thank You!

  • 123. Goblinkatie - Sep 23, 2008 1:29 pm

Cute, some bits are wittier than others, but I’m impressed overall. I think the Skinny epp was my favorite; very clever stuff.

Now, those folks who are freaking out: Get over it. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. If one part offended you, then deal with it and don’t expect the creator to tailor their style to suit you. This is their show, not yours. If the writer’s style flops because no one finds it funny then that’s on him, but it’s ridiculous to expect him to write things that pick fun at everything but the one thing you found offensive.
News flash - It’s supposed to be somewhat offensive folks. It’s risky humor.
